Permaculture Workshops

I offer two workshops. Each has a different emphasis and is held at a different site, my home and the Montessori school where I garden. I have tried to present different material in each workshop so that the two are complimentary. The design workshop at my home will not take much time to show how things are done, although I will talk about and show you the ponds, the soil and bamboo. Likewise the skills workshop will not spend much time on design, but will offer some design ideas and since it is a different site you’ll pick up more design ideas.

Introduction to Permaculture Design:

A Workshop on Designing Edible and Regenerative Landscapes and Gardens

• Home and garden design basics
• Converting front lawns to gardens
• Edible landscaping basics
• Ideas for small spaces
• Fruit trees and organic orchards
• Designing for low maintenance

Permaculture Gardening Skills Workshop

• Sheet mulching for a no-till garden
• Pond construction using inexpensive materials
• Building a bamboo trellis
• Drip Irrigation
• Organic pest controls
